ABOUT ME

Since 2019, I've become a father to two kids, graduated from the top journalism school in the country, and started my career as a professional journalist. I never knew how my life was going to go, but I certainly didn't see this path before me. As a dad, I've come to value time in a way I didn't before. I want to spend my time doing important things, like making memories with my kids. I'm not here to waste my colleague's time, my source's time, or my own. I work efficiently to create engaging, accurate, and meaningful stories for my audiences. The University of Missouri taught me so much about journalism and really honed my skills as a reporter. Between the extensive course material, knowledgeable professors, seasoned editors, and hands-on learning, the MU J-School turned me from a casual writer into an experienced reporter. After working at an esteemed local newspaper in Jefferson City, MO, my skills have grown even more. I'm eager to keep discovering new ways to practice my craft and be the best journalist I can be.
